I began losing my hair, from my hairline towards the crown from the age of 18/19 years old. As my hair started to thin, I noticed it a lot more in the shower, on my hands when doing my hair and on my clothes which in turn had a negative effect towards my mental health. I was constantly conscious of how my hair looked, and it had a real knock on my self-confidence from the early stages of hair loss, right until the moment I had my transplant done.
Shaving my head just wasn’t an option for me, I had always wanted to maintain my hair – and that is when the opportunity presented itself to me, getting in contact with Dr. Mohamed at City Clinics. One of my good friends had also been in a similar situation to myself, and he had a successful procedure with Dr. Mohamed with fantastic results, and it was an instant and impulsive decision to immediately get mine done in the mist of lockdown. I had my consultation with Dr. Mohamed and was instantly put at ease with the knowledge and confidence within the clinic and procedure.
On the day of the procedure, everything was clean and comforting as you would expect and the whole team were accommodating to any requests that I had. Following on from the procedure I had fantastic aftercare from the team at City Clinics with suggestions of aftercare treatment, as well as regular check-ins.
As my hair started to grow back, I felt elated with my decision to have the procedure. Within 3 months of the procedure, my hair had grown back in the transplanted areas and my confidence surrounding my hair hit an all-time high. I am now able to style it how I want with the confidence of it looking good and generally feeling good. My friends and family are completely shocked by the results with people referencing the great work done by the team at City Clinics.
